A True Disciple!
“I went for a little visit of five days (to Areley House). There were ten persons in the house, some unconverted and long prayed for, some converted, but not rejoicing Christians. He gave me the prayer, ‘Lord, give me all in this house!’ And He just did. Before I left the house every one had got a blessing. The last night of my visit after I had retired, the governess asked me to go to the two daughters. They were crying, &c.; then and there both of them trusted and rejoiced; it was nearly midnight. I was too happy to sleep, and passed most of the night in praise and renewal of my own consecration; and these little couplets formed themselves, and chimed in my heart one after another till they finished with ‘Ever, Only, ALL for Thee!’”

This is indeed my heart's cry and prayer! To be used of God in the place He has put me; as a vessel emptied of selfish pursuit, filled with Himself and His will only. And how far short I fall. My life, my example is what I pass on to the children God has given me. What kind of disciples for Christ will they be? Will they be men and women of prayer? Will they have a burning zeal to share the Gospel with everyone they come in contact with? Will they live a life of radiant faith and joy in Christ? Will they bow their hearts to His will, no matter what the cost? Will they have a burden and love for the lost? Will they be true disciples? Will they be this, and more, if they follow my example? May our Lord transform each of us into His TRUE disciples.
